Responsibilities: Summary: The Sales Support Representative works cross functionally with sales, marketing, purchasing, warehouse, AR/AP, and Credit & Collections to ensure timely order delivery, resolve customer issues, assist the Account Managers, handles complex issues leading to higher fill rates, account satisfaction and growth, and advocacy. Responsibilities include fulfilling product requests, literature requests, and marketing campaigns, providing information on shipping and service inquiries, and pricing and quoting items. This position requires proven success as a Sales Support Representative, superior communication/collaboration skills, strong follow-through and problem solving skills and demonstrates subject matter expertise on products and processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * ACCOUNT MANAGER SUPPORT * Review and follow-up on backorders daily. * Research and provide technical and manufacturer product specifications, search for new or hard to find products. * Research alternative products for customers including existing products, research possible comparable new item options. New item set up. * Assist with pricing requests. * Ensure the proper samples, studies and literature are sent to customers for product evaluations. * Assist with quotes for customers. * Support sales with all aspects of the sales process for customers, and customers in remote locations. * Monitor Account Managers' questions and complaints and act as a liaison between the Account Manager and various company departments. * Maintain positive professional communication with all Account Managers, customers, and departments. * Assist sales team in configuring complex product solutions such as hose assemblies, blenders, custom products and other specialty products and equipment. * Analyze and run reports in Excel. * Maintain records and assist in the preparation of required reports. * Participate in product training classes. * Assist Account Managers by resolving product and process inquiries. Provide guidance in professional oral/written form. * CUSTOMER RESOLUTION * Resolve and communicate customer issues related to backorders, delivery times, product substitutions and pricing. * Assist with drop shipments or overnight deliveries requested by customers. * Resolve customer complaints and assist with returned items. Collaborate with regulatory department on defective products. * Interact with customers and manufacturers for customer needs. Qualifications: * Five plus years in a Sales Support Role or industry experience with a proven track record of success preferred * Clinical experience with technical respiratory parts preferred. Skills/Experience Required: * Able to work successfully in a changing environment. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to deal calmly and effectively with situations via all channels while maintaining and promoting a positive company image. Able to diffuse an upset customer and/or an intense situation. * Ability to consult and assess needs of sales organization and serve as strategic problem-solver. * Sound judgment and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and develop alternative solutions. * Able to use a computerized data entry and/or computer tracking system. * Strong research skills. * Strong organizational skills. * Ability to establish and maintain relationships with co-workers, customers and suppliers. * Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects. * Ability to work independently successfully. * Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Travel Requirements: * Approximately 10% travel may be required within continental US for onsite training. Attendance and participation in the National Sales Meeting, location in continental US. * Ongoing training and development as it relates to products, sales and the industry. Training may include live on-site training (may require travel), webinars, and conference calls.
