Responsibilities:
Job Description
Lead and support software compliance and anti‑piracy activities for Keysight's EDA/CAE products. This expert‑level role focuses on case assessment, evidence review, cross‑team collaboration, and overall improvement of compliance processes.
License Compliance & Enforcement
* Identify potential software license infringement and misuse through data analytics, audits, customer engagement, and internal signals
* Conduct license compliance assessments and investigations for enterprise customers, partners, and end users in China (East)
* Lead license audit execution in coordination with Legal, Sales, and Global Compliance teams
* Document findings, quantify exposure, and develop remediation paths
Commercial Resolution & Revenue Recovery
* Work closely with Sales, Partners and Account Teams to convert non-compliant usage into:
* License purchases
* Renewals or expansions
* Enterprise or compliance agreements
* Support negotiation strategies that balance revenue recovery, customer retention, and risk mitigation
* Track and report compliance-driven revenue and closure metrics
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Partner with:
* Sales Team to prioritize the infringements
* Legal on enforcement strategy and contract interpretation
* IT / Security on usage data and technical evidence
* Product & Licensing teams on entitlement models and detection methods
* Partners for the revenue recovery activities as necessary
* Educate internal teams on China compliance risks and enforcement practices
Policy, Process & Risk Management
* Ensure compliance with activities align with:
* Local Chinese regulations
* Corporate compliance and ethics policies
* Customer contractual terms
* Improve compliance workflows, audit playbooks, and escalation paths
* Contribute to continuous improvement of global license compliance frameworks
Qualifications:
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or above; major is flexible (law, CS, or information fields preferred).
* 6-10+ years of experience in related areas (IP, compliance, investigation, legal, or software industry).
* Basic understanding of China's IP and cybersecurity laws.
* Good communication, analytical, and writing skills.
* Ability to read and communicate in English.
* High integrity when handling sensitive information.
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
* Experience with software licensing, IP investigation, or digital forensics.
* Knowledge of EDA/CAE or technical software.
Soft Skills (Very Important)
* Highly proactive and a strong team player.
* Resilient and able to handle complex situations creatively.
* Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
