Talentcor Professional is recruiting for our client, a global developer of new technologies for manufacturing of power transmission and transformer tubular towers and wind turbine towers focused on lattice towers and monopoles. We are currently seeking a Senior Sales Manager with extensive experience selling fabricated steel structures to Utilities companies,in Canada and the USA. Our client owns a state of the art fabrication facility that produces lattice and tubular steel specializing in towers for the utility market. This position will penetrate the market and uncover opportunities for their fabricated steel towers and create market awareness for their brand new state of the art, 120,000 square foot, cutting edge facility. This is an exciting opportunity for a true sales leader to get in on the ground floor and develop with a company who's technology is highly automated and advanced decades beyond its competitors across North America. Based out of the north GTA company headquarters the Sales Manager will report directly to the President and be a core member of the senior management team. This role will start out as an individual producer role and develop into a senior leadership role as the company expands its operations. The position will cover North America and later expand to South America as business develops. Job responsibilities include: * Manage and grow the business by uncovering new opportunities and increasing business with current clients across North America in the Hydro, Telecom and Condominium sectors. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with both clients and prospects by providing information to them on the fabricated steel industry, the company and its products * Prospecting, developing and expanding new business and market share * Achieving and exceeding the given territory revenue targets * Develops proposals based on customer requirements using proposal tools, procedures and margin guidelines * Managing developing and expanding an established customer base * Develops and maintains an active and healthy sales funnel with clients across North America * The successful candidate will be independent and results driven individual with a demonstrated track record of success selling fabricated steel structures Job Requirements: * Minimum 5-7 years of sales experience in the steel industry * Strong interpersonal skills in all dealings with customers and colleagues * Understanding of Steel Fabrication and technical knowledge of applications * Engineering background is not required but would be an asset * Well established relationships and contacts or a large book of business in the steel industry * Knowledge of steel grades, relevant design codes and steel fabrication processes * Able to travel freely throughout North America and possibly South America * Verifiable track record of personal sales development in one or more of the following all of whom are prospective clients: o Construction & Infrastructural Steel Structures o Hydro organizations o Power Utilities o Oil and Gas Industries o Pressure Vessel Design and Build Firms o Machinery Builders and Fabricators o Steel structure related industries (towers, wind turbines, etc) We are looking for a true sales leader able to sell to C level contacts in boardroom settings, utilizing their professional demeanor to influence decision makers within the Hydro, Telecom, Government and Infrastructure projects markets.
