Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities:
MAJOR JOB DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
* Qualify convention incoming business opportunities (leads) (10-50 peak rooms) resulting in closing contracts to maximize revenues and drive customer loyalty to meet goals.
* Meet and exceed revenue goals by prospecting, making sales calls, entertaining, and conducting site inspections using persuasive verbal and written communication
* Identify and develop opportunities to maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel.
* Qualify and responds timely to assigned leads and follow through on commitments.
* Maintain account base of business through on-property customer meetings and identify repeat business opportunities
* Understand the overall market- competitors' strengths and weaknesses and how to sell against them
* Ensure that business is turned over properly and in a timely manner for quality service delivery
* Accurately forecast and report sales pipeline

Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE: 3 years or relevant experience as an Executive Meetings Sales Manager, Sales Coordinator, or Group Reservations.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree or 5 years of equivalent work experience.
SKILLS: Organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints, within established deadlines, and attention to detail; possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Delphi; ability to negotiate, sell, and influence clients and hotel guests; excellent customer service skills; must enjoy working with the public; maintain confidentiality of sensitive information; ability to present self in professional, pleasant, confident, and well-groomed manner; skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and other departments.
