Overview:
The Sales/Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for clerical, administrative, marketing materials, human resources and other duties to assist in the smooth operation of Sales/Human Resources Departments. Responsible for assisting both the Sales and Human Resources department with a variety or department functions related to each department.
Responsibilities:
Sales Responsibilities
* Answer telephone and email messages. Respond accordingly.
* Open and distribute mail.
* Maintain and stay abreast of the latest computer programs/innovations (as applicable).
* Filing of all pertinent correspondence in a timely manner, type all correspondence pertaining to department.
* Maintain adequate inventory of office supplies Responsible for the smooth operation of the office.
* Maintain trace file as needed.
* Assist with daily operations of the Business Center as needed.
* Assist in copying/faxing/mailing.
* Greet guests/clients/employees when necessary.
* Attend meetings/training as required by management.
Human Resources Responsibilities
* Conduct prescreening interviews.
* Maintain new hire, termination, and transfer and promotion Files
* Monitor Workman's Compensation claims, complete First Report of Injury and Employers Report of Industrial Injury.
* Prepare and place recruitment advertising.
* Assist in Orientation - explain benefits, conduct tour of property.
* Assist with special projects; plan employee events (meetings, picnics, parties).
* Assist with all HR Coordinator responsibilities as needed by the deparetment
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
* College Cource work in related field, 2 years progressive Human Resources Experience in a hotel or related industry a plus.
* Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
* High School diploma or equivalent required.
* Familiarity with and knowledge of employment laws are helpful.
* Knowledge of Hyatt Envision Sales platform
* Advanced working knowledge of Opera and Prio`
* Must be skilled in Windows, Company Approved Spreadsheets and processing.
Physical requirements:
* Long hours sometimes required.
* Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
