We are currently seeking a Sales Coordinator to act as the primary point of contact within the sales department for our valued travel agency partners. As such, they are responsible for owning the inside sales service role and providing support directly to travel advisors. Additionally, they provide internal sales support for our field sales team, Director of Sales and the Vice President of Sales. The Sales Coordinator is responsible for performing most of the administrative duties of the Sales department.
Responsibilities:
* Provide excellent agent service as defined within Sales' Star Promise. Be the primary inside sales contact for travel advisors and field sales team. This includes regular email & phone communications to respond to agent inquiries and to proactively resolve problems.
* Manages the sales email account and responds to all inquiries within 24 hours.
* Resolve customer service issues for our partners & guests as per company policy, escalating the situation when necessary and ensuring issues on the Sales/Vacation Planning Smartsheet are resolved to completion.
* Process co-op invoices received from partners in a timely manner and ensure the commitment logs are up to date.
* Assist with the set-up of travel advisor profiles for Seaware access; obtain documentation for and assist with the setting up of travel agency profiles within Seaware.
* Responsible for overall departmental reporting. Maintain, run, develop (as necessary), and distribute department reporting to assist the sales organization in understanding business opportunities and progress towards revenue goals.
* Produce and distribute monthly sales reports to consortia, key accounts, and international sales partners.
* Support the Sales Operations Manager in managing the co-op and trade show budgets.
* Administrative duties as required for the Sales Team
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* A minimum of 2 years' cruise line or tour operator inside sales service experience preferred.
* Ability to work both independently and with a team.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Customer Service oriented.
* Relationship focused.
* Ability to detect and resolve negative issues.
* Ability to communicate orally and in written form effectively with management, internal and external customers.
* Works with minimal supervision, adhering to overall company policies.
* Ability to identify, prioritize and execute tasks to meet critical project deadlines.
* Administrative skills, ability to multi-task with attention to detail.
* Must be proficient with Microsoft applications, particularly Word & Excel
* Must understand the sales process (or be able to easily learn), including commission structures, marketing plans, incentives, overrides and group sales.
* Strong organization, verbal and written communication skills.
* Must possess strong initiative and a friendly, positive demeanor.
* Must be comfortable using phone and email daily to support and communicate with the Field Sales Team as well as our National & International Sales Partners in lieu of face-to-face contact.
* Knowledge of working with reservations systems.
