Sales Business Development Representative (BDR)
Trout Software in Kingston, NY is accepting applications for a Sales Business Development Representative.
What You'll Be Doing
● Lead Generation & Outreach: Proactively reach out to manufacturers across Hudson Valley and NY state, setting up meetings with IT professionals.
● Customer Impact: Hit the road, visit factory floors, talk to IT managers, and get a firsthand understanding of the unique challenges manufacturers face in their IT.
● Sales Process Ownership: Drive the sales process from prospecting to setting up initial conversations, qualifying leads, and ensuring they see the value in what Trout has to offer.
● Relationship Building: Act as the face of Trout to potential clients. Your goal is to build genuine relationships and help them understand how we can support their security and innovation goals.
● Close and grow: Close new accounts and business, while stretching the role for the next step of your career.
About You
● People-Person: You love meeting people and find energy in face-to-face interactions. Cold calling and interacting with people is a challenge that energizes you.
● Road Warrior: You're comfortable spending significant time on the road visiting client sites and prospects across Hudson Valley and neighboring areas.
● Self-Starter & Resilient: You know how to manage your day, stay motivated, and you won't get discouraged when it takes time to open doors.
● Tech-Savvy: You're comfortable talking tech and cybersecurity or are willing to learn quickly. You'll be speaking with IT teams and need to build credibility fast.

Admin
* Role based out of our Kingston, New York office. Ability to work remotely 2 days a week.
* Compensation $72,000-$115,000 OTE depending on experience
* 25 days holiday

Qualifications
Experience: Some experience in sales or business development preferred but not required. Enthusiasm, commitment, and a genuine interest in learning are more important.
Skills: Excellent communication and people skills; strong organizational skills; willingness to learn about Trout's product suite and the manufacturing IT space.
