Overview:
The Safety Attendant provides one-on-one observation of selected patients for the purpose of identifying behaviors which are potentially hazardous to self or others in accordance with facility policies and procedures; reports needs and concerns to licensed nurse.
Schedule: 6:45pm - 7:15am, Night Shift, Full-Time (Shift Differential)

Qualifications:
* Education: High school or GED required.
* Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred.
Licensure/certification/registration (required)
* De-Escalation Techniques (within 90 days of employment)
* Life Support Responder (within 90 days of employment)
* Management of Aggressive Behaviors (MOAB) Training (within 90 days after completion of De-Escalation Training)
* Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing as applicable. Is knowledgeable regarding guidelines for infection control, body substance precautions, patient safety, and body mechanics. Maintains acceptable standards set by those guidelines.
* Ability to work with all age group patients or act as a companion.
* Basic computer skills for documentation.
