Responsibilities:
The System Engineer IV(IE) will support the Chugach Technical Program Manager the US Coast Guard team. The incumbent will provide day-to-day engineering support to NIWC. The position requires an experienced Specialist to support the project. Travel up 25% CONUS/OCONUS.

Qualifications:
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
* Detail understanding of US Navy or USCG Command and Control (C2) systems
* Detail understanding of Navy and USCG Combat System elements and their interfaces
* Responsible for reviewing technical documentation and provided detailed feedback
* Develop troubleshooting guides and workarounds for C4ISR Systems.
* Strong understanding of Simulation and Stimulation systems.
* Able to deploy simulation software to drive the systems for integration testing and training purposes.
* Experience with working with various Operating Systems to include Linux, Windows, VMWare.
* Maintain and update technical drawings/documentation for different configurations for USCG systems.
* Review design for design short falls and create whitepapers or point paper detailing options
* Troubleshooting hardware and or software related issues in the Laboratory and USCG Assets
* Reviews Engineering Change Proposal documentation for system changes to the current and future hardware baselines
* Create Engineering Change Proposals to update software and hardware baselines
* Conduct reviews of specification/requirement and perform test data analysis
* Support installation efforts on board USCG assets.
* Support test events related to the USCG C2 Systems as required
* Very strong organizational, task management, and prioritization skills, along with the ability to display strong sense of urgency
* Experience with Cyber Security tools, technologies, and processes, such as IDS/IPS, SIEM, ACAS/Nessus and RMF is a plus.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
