Responsibilities:
A Project Manager is responsible for the oversight and reporting of budgets and utilization of resources. This role is the key point of contact between SAM and clients. Project Managers oversee the day-to-day operations of field and office staff for multiple SUE and or Survey projects, including, oversight of cad staff, troubleshooting field staff issues, logistics, scheduling, and the tracking of deliverables. They are responsible for proposal writing, business development, attending conferences, participating in professional societies, and staff development.
* Responsible for management of SUE projects and project team
* Manage project performance, to include, schedule, budget and quality of the work
* Provide project management services including conducting project internal and client meetings
* Prepare SUE plans; manage project team including delegating tasks and ensuring compliance with project scope and schedule
* Assist marketing staff with marketing packages, proposal preparation, proposal review and presentations
* Identify and solicit project opportunities with current and new clients and attend marketing meetings as needed
* Assist in developing procedures, standards, methods and systems to improve project delivery
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in SUE, Utility Design or Coordination
* Business development skills and experience is a must
* Ability to manage personnel is a plus
* Experience in construction engineering and inspection a plus
* Strong written and verbal communication experience
* A licensed P.E. is preferred, but not a must
