Overview:
The Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Supervisor provides evaluation, treatment, and ongoing support to individuals recovering from substance use disorders while overseeing SUD Counselors through telehealth services. This role manages counseling staff and works as part of an interdisciplinary team to support positive clinical outcomes. The position contributes to treatment planning, continuity of care, and discharge preparation. The SUD Supervisor balances direct clinical involvement with leadership responsibilities to ensure consistent, coordinated care.
Responsibilities:
* Provide evaluation, screening, and treatment services for individuals with substance use disorders, including individual and group counseling.
* Supervise SUD Counselors and participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and team collaboration.
* Diagnose substance use disorders when within scope of licensure and contribute to individualized treatment plans.
* Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation, including data collection and reporting support.
* Support continuity of care, discharge planning, crisis response, and other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
Education
* Master's degree in social work from an accredited college or university.
Experience
* Experience providing SUD counseling required.
* Experience in supervisory role preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
* Licensure or certification to practice independently as required by state in which employed
