Responsibilities: The role of the SME will be to provide day-to-day Tactical Data Link (TDL) support to NIWC. The position requires an experienced communications expert to support the project. This position will work out of the Chesapeake, VA area. Work Model: Onsite/In-Office Qualifications: Essential Duties & Job Functions: * Provide technical support services for emerging Fleet Technical Assist (FTA) requirements, which are urgent and routine. FTA categories consist of: * Casualty Report (CASREP). * Combat Systems, Command, Control, Communications and Computer Readiness Assessment (C5RA). * Deploying Group Systems Integration Testing (DGSIT). * Inspection & Survey (INSURV). * System Grooms and Repairs. * Technical Assistance (TA) Visits and Total Ship Readiness Assessment (TSRA). * Combat Systems Assessment and Training (CSAT). * C4I System of Systems Operability Test (C4I SOT) Support. * Perform system testing to evaluate performance and functionality. * Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills * Teamwork and interpersonal communication skills. * Be willing to travel 25 - 45%. * Outstanding oral and written communication skills. * Perform other duties as assigned.
