Responsibilities: The Subject Matter Expert I (IT Services) will provide high-level subject matter expertise to the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) IT Services team regarding many different USCGC installs. This position will be based out of Chesapeake, VA. Work Model: Onsite Qualifications: Essential Duties & Job Functions: * Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for USCG IT Services systems to include KVH, Starlink, Iridium, and other systems. * Develop/integrate/troubleshoot various communication systems in support of NIWC and the US Coast Guard. * The tasks required vary with each system integration requirements. * Build all types of connectors, be familiar with different types of cables, antennas, and radio systems. * Provides expert input on internal communications equipment documents. * Aids during onsite visits to US Coast Guard Ships.
