Overview: Telecommunications Mechanic I (RWR-2025-23228): Bowhead seeks to network with Telecommunications Mechanic I for an upcoming proposal effort to support communications upgrades at McConnell AFB. Responsibilities: Essential functions will include: * Pull, route, and secure Cat-6 cabling per direction of senior technicians. * Assist with termination, labeling, and dressing of cabling into racks and panels. * Perform material handling and site preparation tasks. * Support installation of faceplates, patch cords, and basic grounding. * Other duties as assigned Qualifications: * Education * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Years of experience * 1-2 years of general cable installation or hands-on technical labor. * Required skills or certifications * Basic knowledge of TIA color codes and structured cabling. * Ability to use hand tools and follow safety guidelines. * Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions. * Willingness to work in secure environments with proper base access procedures. * Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint * Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts * Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team Physical Demands: * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds * Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time * Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location. #LI-BG1
