Responsibilities:
Sr. SAP ABAP Consultant who is experienced in SAP HANA, S/4 migrations, code optimizations and remediation projects. From technical perspective, this role will span much of the core SAP offerings in this space including ABAP Development, native SAP HANA Development, technical architecture and other areas as required. As well as delivery, you will be expected to keep abreast of changes within this space and provide this insight to our clients in a thought-leadership role. The candidate will work closely with the user community, IT colleagues and clients to determine appropriate solutions, owning the process of delivery from design to implementation and support tasks.
Core:
* Design scalable, performance optimal and re-usable technical solution to meet specific business requirements
* Develop technical specifications, coding, testing, and documentation
* Develop custom reports, Perform Proof-of-concept and prototyping activities whenever required
* Finalize technical design, fix issues and undertake collaborative development tasks
* Active participation in root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of issues
* Willing to share technical knowledge and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions within development team from time-to-time
* Provide knowledge transfer to Production Support team after project go-live
* Need to be prepared to offer technical help and expertise to Production Support team for any urgent production issue
* Experience with SAP and non-SAP systems integration, performance test planning and testing execution coordination skills. Ability to efficiently interact with multiple organizations to successfully implement projects in SAP space
Job Specific:
* Develop high level architecture and solution design for implementation of business requirement.
* Lead the ABAP deliverables in terms of code fixes, remediation, HANA compliant, reprogramming and performance tuning on migration and upgrade case scenarios.
* Perform data mapping, data cleansing/conversion activities and data aging setup.
* Work closely with onsite and offshore team working on Functional, ABAP, Basis and Security during design and implementation.
* Work with SAP through service market place in articulating product gaps & issues in SAP.
* Work with Project teams to develop and resolve SAP ABAP issues.
* Proactively identify performance bottlenecks in the systems and come up with original and technically scalable solutions.
* Learn new SAP Technologies as they are implemented.
* Develop new programs for Project team and also work on SAP Initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required Professional and Technical Expertise
* At least 7+ years of strong consulting background in providing both technical delivery and advisory services in a senior role
* At least 5 years of experience in upgrade/migration, code optimization and remediation, SAP Fiori, HANA or S/4HANA development and core SAP systems like ECC, BW, CRM, SCM, PI, SRM, Solution Manager and other SAP products.
* At least 5 years of experience with SAP technologies (SAP HANA, SAP Business Suite and Business Warehouse, SAP Netweaver, SAP S/4HANA) in designing, creating and deploying ABAP programs.
* Experience of development and delivery within core SAP solutions as well as on the SAP HANA platform
* Deep SAP HANA Product knowledge, covering all aspects including ABAP, native HANA and general software development. Evidence of thought leadership in this domain is preferable.
* Strong Working experience in SAPUI5, Fiori, ABAP on HANA, OData Services is a plus.
* HANA Security: User management, Role creation, restriction using Table, View and Schemas at Analytic privileges in Role through HANA Studio. Tracing and troubleshooting.
* FIORI / UI5 Security - Gateway role design to include Catalogs, Groups and ODATA
* Backend role design to include Tcode, ODATA, Webdynpro with Authorizations
