We are looking for a SAP Basis Solution Architect to lead the technical vision, design, and modernization of our SAP ecosystem. You will define our long‑term architecture, oversee cloud migration strategies, and ensure our SAP platforms remain secure, scalable, and high performing-supporting the company's digital transformation goals.
The Role
As the SAP Basis Solution Architect, you will:
Architectural Strategy & Design
* Define and maintain the end‑to‑end architectural roadmap across the SAP landscape, including ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, BTP, and integration platforms.
* Design and optimize SAP workloads running on hyperscale cloud providers (Azure/AWS/GCP), using RISE with SAP or native cloud deployment models.
* Architect robust High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for mission‑critical workloads to ensure 24/7 business resilience.
Technical Leadership & Migration
* Lead end‑to‑end SAP technical migration programs including OS/DB migrations, S/4HANA conversions (Greenfield/Brownfield), and Unicode conversions.
* Perform expert-level SAP HANA sizing, capacity planning, and scalability assessments.
* Evaluate emerging SAP technologies-such as SAP BTP services, automation frameworks, and AI‑assisted monitoring-and lead proof‑of‑concept initiatives.
Governance, Performance & Security
* Ensure the SAP environment meets global compliance standards including SOX, GDPR, SOC2, and internal audit governance.
* Lead complex troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and performance tuning at the HANA database and application layers.
* Promote automation through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), streamlining Basis tasks such as patching, system refreshes, and kernel upgrades.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
* Serve as a trusted technical advisor to business functional teams, IT infrastructure groups, and project stakeholders.
* Manage SAP and third‑party hosting vendors, ensuring SLA performance and architectural alignment.
Qualifications:
Technical Expertise
* Hands‑on SAP Basis experience, including at least 2 years in an Architect‑level role.
* Deep technical expertise in SAP S/4HANA, HANA 2.0 administration, performance tuning, and tools such as DMO, SUM, SWPM.
* Proven experience in migrating SAP systems to Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
* Solid understanding of SAP BTP, SAP Cloud Connector, integration patterns, APIs, and hybrid architecture models.
Soft Skills
* Strong strategic mindset with the ability to shape long‑term SAP platform evolution.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for senior business leaders.
* Experience mentoring junior Basis engineers and leading cross‑functional delivery teams.
Education & Certifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Preferred certifications:
* SAP Certified Technology Associate (HANA / OS/DB Migration)
* SAP S/4HANA Conversion
* Azure/AWS Solutions Architect
