Start up in NYC is searching for a Ruby on Rails Developer for a full time direct hire position. In this role you will build both front and back end applications using a modern API to integrate with our iOS and web apps and develop an infrastructure that supports an ever growing userbase. Qualifications: *Degree in a computer science program or related field from an accredited college or university (or commensurate experience) *4+ years of experience developing and delivering scalable full stack web applications and 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails *Experience developing on cloud platforms like AWS or Heroku *Good relational database experience (Postgres, MySQL) *Experience with React.js, Ember.js, Backbone, or similar MVC framework Nice to have qualifications: *Experience with Django, Node, or similar framework *Experience with multiple programming languages such as JavaScript, Ruby, Python, or C++ *UX & design experience *Very strong knowledge of how the Web works and how to make it efficient (HTTP, caching, page rendering, mobile optimization, etc) *iOS or Android experience
