Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
A Room Support performs routine patient care activities and related non-professional services in the care of the sub-acute, acute, and critically ill patient under the direction of the R.N. circulator and first line supervisor. This position treats/cares for patients of all ages.

Qualifications:
Minimum:
* Has a minimum of one year Operating Room experience or one year's experience in general hospital setting
* Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR card
* Certification in medical terminology course; must pass medical terminology equivalency test
* Must have legible handwriting, knowledge of spelling, grammar and basic arithmetic
* Demonstrate skills in dealing with the public and telephone courtesy
* Demonstrated skill in patient transfers to wheelchairs, gurneys, etc.
* Skilled in proper use of body mechanics
* Self motivated; able to initiate tasks as instructed
