Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
Workers' Compensation Management
* Maintain and log all industrial injuries occurring on property.
* Identify trends in injury occurrences and report concerns to the Risk and Safety Manager when necessary.
* Review security investigation reports on team member accidents/injuries for accuracy/completeness and follow up on necessary information to ensure accurate compensability of claim.
* Manage workers' compensation claims from submission to closure of claims.
* Review and assess active workers' compensation cases to advise and consult with department managers on next best course of action in consideration of applicable laws and company policy under supervision of the Risk and Safety Manager and coordination with appropriate HR Business Partners.
* Maintain working relationships with Workers' Compensation Insurer to follow-up on status of injured worker's prognosis and timely claims filing.
* Coordinate and communicate with the Manager and legal counsel when necessary in cases of workers' compensation litigation.
* Drafts correspondences, light duty agreements, investigative findings and other documents in relation to workers' compensation as necessary.
General Liability Management
* Maintain and record general liability claims to the insurance provider
* Assist in the investigation of guest claims and accident factors by obtaining, gathering and reviewing evidentiary documentation.
* Liaise with insurance carrier and/or Third-Party Administrator, guests, and operating supervision and department staff.
* Coordinate the transfer of claims to third parties.
* Maintain risk management records and manage claim RMIS system
* Provide excellent customer service to M Resort's guests and patrons
Safety
* Assist with coordinating company safety initiatives and training
* Maintain safety and injury trend statistical reports
* Coordinate OSHA recordable and recordkeeping compliance

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age.
EXPERIENCE: 2 years administrative experience in a casino industry or related industry in the area of general liability and workers' compensation claims management or claims related field. Experience in report writing and investigation of claims preferred.
EDUCATION: Some college experience preferred; High school diploma or equivalent with related work experience.
SKILLS: Full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident, and well-groomed manner. Good organizational skills required. Excellent writing and communication skills. Able to read, write, and communicate verbally in English. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, iTrak, Infinium, iCims ATS system and PowerPoint. Ability to critically think, adapt and problem solve to evolving situations. Knowledge of applicable liability and worker's compensation laws and regulations. Knowledge of OSHA, FMLA, HIPAA.
