Responsibilities:

SUMMARY

The Risk Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Risk and Safety department to ensure a safe, compliant, and secure casino and hospitality environment. This role oversees staff, safety programs, regulatory compliance, claims management, and loss control initiatives while partnering with Operations, Human Resources, Security, Facilities, and Legal to minimize risk and protect guests, team members, and company assets.

* Lead and manage the Risk and Safety department, supervising staff, schedules, and training

* Ensure a safe, compliant, and secure casino and hospitality environment

* Oversee OSHA and corporate safety compliance programs (HAZCOM, Bloodborne Pathogens, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, PPE, Fire Safety, Ladder, Confined Space, Power Tools, AED, First Aid/CPR)

* Conduct property inspections, safety walks, and accident reduction initiatives

* Develop and deliver safety, workplace violence, and active shooter training programs

* Monitor kitchen and food safety compliance, and maintain Greenlight Risk/Safety training records

* Prepare monthly loss control reports and assist with budget analysis

* Manage property claims, workers' compensation, and general liability; coordinate legal representation and settlement recommendations

* Facilitate return-to-work assignments and post-accident procedures

* Maintain insurance documentation for property, vehicles, contractors, and vendors

* Ensure contractor compliance with safety programs and insurance requirements

* Maintain OSHA recordkeeping, physical demands/job hazard analyses, and all regulatory compliance

* Collaborate with Operations, Facilities, HR, Security, and other departments to mitigate risk and support business objectives

Qualifications:

* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Bachelor's degree (B.A./B,S,) from four-year college or university in related field; three to five years risk/safety experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience minimum of two years' supervisory experience preferred
* Must have minimum of six years' progressive responsibility within the risk management field, with experience dealing with claim resolution
* Must have working knowledge of risk management disciplines, including OSHA, safety, training and the ability to lead
* Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
