Overview:
Serves as primary administrator of Revenue Cycle components of the Electronic Health Record ("EHR"). Primary maintenance of the EHR will rest with IT; this individual will be responsible for components of the system relating to billing, claims processing, collections, cash, aging, etc. Manages Revenue Cycle configuration and business processes. Responsible for remaining educated about and understanding the EHR roadmap and upcoming product releases, including reviewing release notes, assessing new features, understanding the impacts on Revenue Cycle processes and changes in Revenue Cycle functionality. Monitors Revenue Cycle performance within the system and, in coordination with the Information Technology team, troubleshoots issues and resolves problems. Maintains documentation related to Revenue Cycle within the EHR system, including user guides for same, and serves as primary training coordinator for all users within the Revenue Cycle team.

* Has primary responsibility for Revenue Cycle functions in the EHR.
* Works closely with the Information Technology EHR administrators, especially around Revenue Cycle functionality within the EHR system.
* Responsible for assessing, evaluating and making suggestions regarding regular system updates as they pertain to Revenue Cycle functionality
* Responsible for educating the Revenue Cycle team regarding such updates
* Annually, or more frequently as needed, makes updates to the system in coordination with changes to the chargemaster, billing rules or configuration, payor groups, etc.
* Also updates the system for changes from payors regarding bill form layout, rates, etc.
* Liaises between IT and the Revenue Cycle team to understand business processes and seek opportunities for process improvement and automation. Assists in design and implementation of new functionality
* In coordination with IT, leads system testing for Revenue Cycle processes for EHR system updates and enhancements
* Serves as primary point of contact to third-party payor systems from EHR
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in business, healthcare administration or related field. A minimum of seven years' management experience in the Revenue Cycle Management systems field, with increasing responsibilities for management and support of Revenue Cycle operations and support of healthcare information systems is highly preferred. Ability to critically analyze data input/output for accuracy and effectiveness. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, presentation, project management and organizational skills required. Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment. Demonstrated and proven skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail. Ability to organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
