				Overview:

The selected individual for this position must reside and work within the New England states (MA, ME, NH, CT, RI, VT).

The Charge Capture Analyst I position is responsible for the accuracy of data collection, reporting, and translation of data needed to support the Patient Accounting department in decision making activity.  Such support requires intimate knowledge of the business operations and associated technologies in each of the functional areas, namely Charge Capture and Patient Accounting Data Transactions.

Responsibilities:

* Maintain CDM (Charge Description Master) ensuring all data elements are accurate and comply with all payor and regulatory requirements.
* Review and interpret CMS billing and coding rules, to remain compliant and accurate to minimize incorrect billing.
* Review documentation and resolve charge capture errors generated in work queues.
* Manual charge entry for various workflows.
* Work collaboratively with other teams inside Patient Accounting and broader Revenue Cycle for charge capture related requests.

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma required; BA/BS preferred in Business or Healthcare related fields. 
* Working knowledge of Epic is required.
* Experience with various software applications such as EPIC, Xclaim, MS Excel, Zoom/Teams. 
* Preferred experience in healthcare revenue cycle, patient accounting.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: 

* Demonstrate analytical, proactive problem-solving skills; techniques to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
* Strong technical savvy and working knowledge of analytical tools, including Microsoft Office, Zoom etc.
* Knowledge of hospital and/or physician billing operations as well as basic third-party payor requirements.
* Dependable, self-starter, able to set priorities, and meet deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work well independently.
* Inquisitiveness, along with the ability to think logically and systematically to analyze and evaluate alternate solutions, is expected.
* Previous Chargemaster/CDM knowledge will be beneficial.
* Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.

Pay Transparency Statement

The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate's relevant experience, skills and qualifications.

For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)

$22.37/hr - $27.60/hr
