				Overview:

Our Technology teams challenge the status quo and reimagine capabilities across industries. Whether through research and development, technology innovation or solution engineering, our team members play a vital role in connecting consumers with the products and platforms of tomorrow.

Responsibilities:

Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.

The role of a Retail Store Technology Lead Integration Engineer in 2026 has shifted from simply connecting systems to becoming the architect of the store's digital nervous system. We aren't just looking for someone to map endpoints; we need a strategist who can ensure that when an AI agent or a store advocate makes a request, the backend responds with the precision and speed required for a high-stakes retail environment. You will be the bridge between our physical retail footprint and a massive ecosystem of internal and 3rd-party host systems, preparing our infrastructure for an era of Agentic AI and A2A communication.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives)

* Build and maintain a fully dynamic, searchable map of every API touchpoint in the store, ensuring zero "dark data" or orphaned services
* Design a "Store Health" Dynatrace command center that correctly predicts 90% of interface-related outages before they impact the advocate experience
* Launch a pilot implementation of an MCP-compliant interface that allows a store AI agent to retrieve real-time inventory or customer data autonomously
* First 90 Days: Audit the current enterprise landscape to identify and catalog all consumed services while establishing primary technical liaisons with backend peer organizations
* Drive a "Store-First" mindset across vendor roadmaps, prioritizing low latency, offline resiliency, and advocate-centric data models

Qualifications:

Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring)

* Your track record of successfully influencing peer teams to adopt store-centric API designs allows you to "speak backend" while "thinking retail."
* Hands-on experience building custom dashboards in Dynatrace moves the team beyond simple "uptime" to measuring the true health of the store experience
* A deep understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP) to ensure our APIs are "Agent-ready," allowing AI assistants to securely discover and invoke store tools
* Knowledge of Agentic frameworks and A2A (Agent-to-Agent) communication standards allows store-side agents to negotiate seamlessly with backend-service agents
* You possess the social and technical savvy to translate "deep tech" architectural decisions into clear business value for retail leaders

Minimum Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
* 8 years of experience in enterprise systems integration or API management.
* Must have at least 5 years of experience with:

* API Design Governance and Lifecycle Management
* Enterprise Observability tools (specifically Dynatrace for API health)
* Managing 3rd-party vendor technical integrations and backend liaising
* Implementing modern integration protocols (REST, GraphQL, or emerging AI-centric protocols)
