This position is to hire for a PRN Pharmacist to work at Pavillion Pharmacy located at OSF St. Anthony Center. Hiring for PRN to help assist with coverage in the pharmacy as needed, when pharamcy staff are out sick, taking time off or on leave.
The PRN Pharmacist must be flexible with working scheduled hours during the week and weekend. Must be flexible in covering last minute.
The pharmacy is open 9:00am-7:00pm Monday-Friday; 9:00am-5:00pm Saturday and Sunday.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Retail Pharmacist reviews prescriptions, obtains clarifications and analyzes drug therapy. Responsible for compounding and dispensing medications according to established policies and procedures of the professional of pharmacy. Supervises pharmacy technicians in the preparation of medication.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Licensure/ Certification: Current Illinois State Pharmacist License
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Science Pharmacy or PharmD
Experience: 3 years of experience in Retail Pharmacy
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and various other medical personnel when explaining medication use and gathering and exchanging other medication information. Analytical skills necessary in order to determine drug appropriateness and evaluate drug interactions. Strong customer service skills. Ability to multi-task.
