Job Title: General Manager
Location: Lakeland, FL
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000
As General Manager, you are the culture-carrier of the restaurant. In this role, you'll directly supervise and develop a diverse team, carrying out responsibilities in line with Proper House Group values, company policies, and applicable laws. That includes recruiting, hiring, and training; planning and directing daily operations; evaluating performance; rewarding and holding people accountable; and resolving challenges quickly and fairly. Responsibilities:
* Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests.
* Responsible for all aspects of the effective management of restaurant operations within a restaurant environment.
* Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans. Prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and guest-service standards; resolve problems; identify trends; determine system improvements and implement positive change.
* Responsible for in-house accounting functions, including daily, weekly, and monthly financial projections, invoice processing, and payroll management.
* Assist with enhancing the department and overall business reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to accomplishments.
* Actively coaching, counseling, directing, training, and mentoring the team in meeting company standards.
* Oversees all aspects of employee relations to ensure a positive, harmonious, compliant, and cooperative work environment.
* Develop and maintain training programs for all beverage and food
* Maintain and manage the beverage and wine list
* Ensure total compliance with all alcohol service policies. Will effectively and compliantly address all alcohol service or compliance issues immediately.
* Partner with ownership, marketing, and external partners to manage profitability by building sales and controlling costs while maintaining our quality standards.
Qualifications:
* Prior experience in restaurant operation required.
* Demonstrate and promote a culture of customer service and Unreasonable Hospitality.
* Must have a Servsafe Manager card for employment.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as well as to gain the cooperation of guest and fellow team members.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
* This position must have, or an ability to acquire within one year, an in-depth knowledge and thorough understanding of Enterprise Policies and Procedures, governmental regulations, and technical rules relevant to their responsibilities.
