Responsibilities:

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist Supervisor to join the Rotech team. In this position, you will be responsible for training, and oversight of clinical staff and activities within their defined area.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

* Available for on-call assignments as needed.
* Actively monitor priority levels throughout the day to ensure alignment with evolving business needs; make adjustments as necessary.
* Actively recruits new Respiratory Clinicians to fill open positions.
* Completes chart audits and other reviews, contributes to post-orientation and annual evaluations.
* Conducts competency testing for all Respiratory Clinicians.
* Directs the orientation process for all new Respiratory Clinicians and conducts ongoing training of clinical staff.
* Make appropriate recommendations for changes to patient care as dictated by patient assessment
* Monitor staffing and productivity across multiple departments, including both on-site and remote team members.
* Offer first-level assistance for IT-related issues to minimize disruptions and maintain team productivity.
* Oversee team coverage to ensure all priority needs are addressed by close of business.
* Oversight of a 24/7/365 clinical program providing on-call support via phone. 
* Participates in the clinical orientation of other personnel.
* Proactively manage a high-volume Inbound/Outbound Customer Service Contact Center, including handling of calls, texts, chats, and emails.
* Provide backup support during periods of elevated call or queue volume to maintain service levels and customer satisfaction.
* Read and successfully interpret written directions and/or instructions in English.
* Review and interpret daily performance reports to ensure business needs and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently being met.
* Review patient charts and discern compliance with Rotech's policies and procedures.
* Sense of urgency and responsiveness to physicians, location employees and patients.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Employment is contingent on

* Background investigation (company-wide)
* Drug screen (when applicable for the position)
* Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)

Required Education and/or Experience

* High school diploma or GED equivalent, required

Preferred Education and/or Experience

* Completion of an accredited program in respiratory care, preferred
* Credentials as a respiratory therapist , Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT); RRT/CRT is preferred but other medical credentials may be acceptable (e.g., RN) depending upon state licensure laws
* Degree in respiratory therapy or related science, preferred
* Home respiratory care experience, preferred
* Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or Home Medical Equipment (HME)
* Maintain CEUs as required by state law, and if not required by state law, then maintain a minimum of 4 CEUs per year
* Medical terminology, preferred
* Must be licensed in primary state of home office and may be required to obtain license in neighboring states
* Nursing or other paramedical training may be acceptable depending upon state licensure laws
* One year of related work experience, preferred
