Varied Schedule: Monday and Tuesday Day shift and Wednesday Night shift. Once a month it will be Weekends with Wednesday Nights.

Education: Valid license to practice respiratory therapy in state of practice

Experience: 0 years' experience

Licenses/Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials by National Board for Respiratory Care Current CPR Healthcare Provider certification

Responsibilities:

The Respiratory Therapist Lead -Registered (RRT) treats individuals with health care issues affecting the cardiopulmonary system.

* Initiates assessment based on the patient's presenting problems or needs and the physician's medical diagnosis. Completes ongoing assessments according to policy and/or as determined by patient condition. 

* Performs basic and advanced therapeutic interventions. 

* Determines the impact of interventions on the patient's condition and recognize the patient's progress toward meeting desired outcomes. 

* Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. 

* Involves patient, family and/or other significant individuals in care decisions and in learning self-care skills preparing for transfer to subsequent care environments. 

* Coordinates care between other professional disciplines as needed for patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the cardiopulmonary system. 

* Shares essential information, through documentation and oral communication, with healthcare team members and other customers common to the unit/area(s) of assignment. 

* Responsible for training or assignment of training; serves as a role model and mentor to new and less experienced staff and students in health professions; may perform or coordinate the primary preceptor role in the training of students and peers. 

* Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Education: Accredited program in alignment with licensure requirements
* Experience: 3 years relevant experience
* License/Certifications: Valid license to practice respiratory therapy in state of practice. Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials by National Board for Respiratory Care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
