Responsibilities:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive respiratory and ventilator assessments
* Evaluate weaning potential and respiratory rehabilitation opportunities
* Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized respiratory care plans
* Initiate and manage ventilator weaning protocols per physician orders
* Administer prescribed respiratory medications and treatments
* Perform scheduled and PRN respiratory interventions
* Monitor labs, clinical indicators, and ventilator parameters within scope of practice
* Document care clearly and concisely, including ventilation checks every 12 hours per PSC policy
* Maintain accurate progress notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries
* Communicate clinical findings and recommendations to physicians and interdisciplinary team members
* Educate families, caregivers, and staff on respiratory equipment and procedures
* Assist with in-service training and onboarding education for staff
* Ensure safe, cost-effective use of respiratory equipment and supplies
Qualifications:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) Qualifications:
* Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy required (Bachelor's preferred)
* Active, unencumbered Pennsylvania Respiratory Therapist license
* RRT or CRT credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care
* Current CPR (AHA Healthcare Provider) certification
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Pediatric, ventilator, or long-term care experience preferred (but not required - we will support training)
