Overview: Extern opportunity for Respiratory Therapist Provide routine respiratory therapy responsibilities; administer and monitor oxygen therapy to patients. This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.) Responsibilities: * All Pulmonary Technician I responsibilities. * Maintains and ensures oxygen administration to patients and implements oxygen therapy protocol. * Administers routine respiratory care responsibilities, to include nebulization, Chest PT, IPPB, etc. * Performs diagnostic procedures to include EKG, bedside spirometry, nocturnal oximetry and ABGs. * Assists in cardiopulmonary resuscitation Qualifications: High school plus trade or vocational school in Respiratory Care. High school plus trade or vocational school in Respiratory Care. Requires New Mexico Respiratory Care training permit and BLS certification. Less than one year experience in Respiratory Care. Must be CRTT eligible or currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory program Must be CRTT eligible or currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory program Education: Essential: * High School Diploma or GED
