St. Luke's Health - Memorial Hospital in Lufkin, TX, is dedicated to enhancing your health and well-being. Our facility is a collaboration between St. Luke's Health and a team of specialized physicians-focused on General and Interventional Cardiology, Sports Medicine, and Orthopedics, including Total Joint Replacement and Spine Care. 

Responsibilities:

We are offering a $10,000 Sign On Bonus to new hires that meet the eligibility requirements. 

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will join an established team of RTs who share your passion for delivering highly specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues. You'll be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizer treatments to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support.

* Verifies physician orders to carry out all aspects of respiratory care, and documents all respiratory activity, to ensure excellent quality care to all customers.
* Cleans and assembles equipment, and ensures supply stock levels to meet patient care commitments.
* Educates and instructs patient, patient's family, and team members on therapeutic and diagnostic procedures to ensure excellent communication to all customers.
* Possesses lifesaving skills for all age groups, while maintaining health care provider certification, to provide quality care to patients.
* Collaborates with team members to enhance and promote a team effort to provide timely and effective patient care.
* Fulfills continuing education requirements and maintains current licensure to maintain required qualifications.

Qualifications:

Education Required

* Completion of a Respiratory Care Degree Program

Licensure Required

* Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the Texas Medical Board (TMB)
* Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
* BLS certification (through an approved AHA program)
