Responsibilities:

The Respiratory Therapist is for providing respiratory care to patients.

Responsible for the safe and accurate administration of all respiratory medications, treatments, procedures, and monitoring including but not limited to: oxygen therapy, adult ventilator management, neonatal ventilator management, ventilator transport, bi-level ventilation management, heliox therapy, chest physiotherapy, sputum induction, airway care, humidity therapy, DME coordination, aerosol therapy, isolation controlled environments, nocturnal oximetry study, pulmonary education and rehabilitation, pulse oximetry, EKGs, adult and pediatric, pulmonary function testing, cardiovascular monitoring; rhythm, heart rate, B/P, respirations, arterial blood gas procedure and analysis.

Qualifications:

Required:

* California license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
* BLS Healthcare Provider (AHA)
* PALS (AHA)
* RRT -National registration 
* ACLS, or ability to acquire within 6 months of employment
* NRP, or ability to acquire within 6 months of employment
* Neonatal Resuscitation certification within 6 months
