Overview:
The Hu Lab at the Center for Perinatal Research, Nationwide Children's Hospital/Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a highly motivated and organized Research Associate with immediate availability. The successful candidate will join Dr. Yan Hu's laboratory to contribute to cutting-edge research on lung epithelial progenitor cell activation and lung tissue repair in chronic lung diseases affecting both children and adults. Our research utilizes transgenic mice, patient-derived lung organoids, single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, and tissue culture techniques to explore molecular mechanisms driving small airway and alveolar repair. The overarching goal of the Hu Lab is to uncover the molecular pathways that regulate lung epithelial progenitor cell function in health and disease, with an emphasis on developing novel therapies to promote lung tissue regeneration in conditions such as COPD, BPD, and beyond. The lab is supported by funding from the NIH/NHLBI and the Abigail Wexner Research Institute.
Interested individuals should send a curriculum vitae and a personal statement to Dr. Yan Hu at Yan.Hu@nationwidechildrens.org
