Qualifications:

JOB SUMMARY:

Seeking a fast learning, skilled individual in the field of Medical Billing and Account Resolution.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently reviewing claims related to rehabilitation services.  This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to accurately read and understand an explanation of benefits received from insurance, Investigate and resolve denied/problematic medical billing claims, ensuring accurate and timely payment from insurance, experience with Medicare, and Medicare Advantage plans, along with Commercial and Medicaid plans. The ability to work independently, and with a team, at a fast pace.   

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Utilize EMR, Clearinghouses, and other billing software to verify patient information, file claims, review EOB's, investigate denied claims, and submit reconsideration requests.
* Process billing transactions for rehabilitation services, including but not limited to physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
* Generate and submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner.
* Monitor claim status, investigate and resolve unpaid/denied claims.
* Resolve billing discrepancies and address issues with rejected claims.
* Investigating Claims, identifying errors, appealing denials, and communicating with various parties to achieve resolution.
* Collaborate with other departments and insurance companies to ensure accurate, timely billing reimbursement.
* Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
* Stay up-to-date on changes in healthcare billing regulations and coding guidelines.
* Ability to answer phones, and assist patients with billing related questions and concerns.
* The ability to quickly adapt to changes in tasks, and special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School/GED

Experience: 1-3 years in Medical Billing and Denial Management

Physical Requirements
Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during
working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written
communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all
business associates outside of the health campus.
