Our St. Luke's Cancer Institute (SLCI) clinics are dynamic, full-service outpatient hematology/oncology treatment centers offering chemo/bio/and radiation therapies. What you can expect from this role
We are seeking a Triage Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Cancer Institute Radiation Oncology team in Twin Falls.
* Part-time: 0.6 FTE (48 hours per pay period)
* 8-hour shift, variable days (M-F)
* No nights, weekends or St. Luke's observed holidays
* Certification pay (ex. OCN)

* Utilize strong critical thinking and assessment skills to triage calls and evaluate patients of all ages undergoing treatment
* Promote a positive patient experience with compassion and kindness while integrating technical skills, scientific knowledge, and a caring attitude both in the clinic and through the triage process to aid those living with cancer and their families
Minimum qualifications for this role
* Education: Nursing Degree
* Experience: One (1) + years' RN experience
* Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross
* Required: RN license within the state of Nevada or able to obtain once hired
* Preferred: Oncology experience, clinic triage experience and/or strong assessment skills
Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient's needs.
* Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
* Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
* Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
* Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
* Manages care of patients.
* Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
* Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
* Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's of Nursing Degree
* RN's with less than 1 year of RN experience at the time of hire into the RN position must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (ACEN
* Accreditation Commission of Education in Nursing, CCNE -Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education)
* Experience: 0 years' experience
