Overview: POSITION SUMMARY: The Cancer Care Center Registered Nurse will provide expert care for oncology patients using a multidisciplinary approach. The Cancer Care Center Registered Nurse evaluates and treats oncology patients, following outlined protocols. Compassionate care and ongoing professional development are key to success in this role. Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Education: * Associate degree in nursing * Experience: * 1 year of nursing experience * Licensure/ Certification: * Illinois Registered Nurse License * American Heart Association CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of hire * OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) &/or a magnet approved certification or obtained within 3 years of hire. * Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate within 3 months of hire for sites administering chemotherapy. * Other Skills/ Knowledge: * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Education: * Bachelor's degree in nursing * Experience: * 1 year or more of Oncology nursing in an outpatient setting OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
