				Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY: The RN CRT Tier 1 - Hospital provides experienced and flexible nurses who deliver patient care across multiple departments within a single facility. Applies strong clinical knowledge and nursing skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for diverse patient populations. In this role, RNs adapt quickly to different care settings and collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality, age-appropriate care that meets the needs of our patients and communities. Provides coverage in two or more departments within the facility as staffing needs require.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education: Registered Nurse

Experience: 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the specialty area of hire

Licensure/ Certification: Current Registered Nurse License in the state of IL.

BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) through the American Heart Association

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Effective verbal and written communication with interdisciplinary teams

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills for rapid decision-making

Excellent adaptability and flexibility in managing varied patient populations and unit workflows

Time management and prioritization skills in fast-paced and variable environments

Ability to educate patients, families, and staff across multiple clinical areas

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Experience: Experience collaborating with diverse healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care Prior float or cross-training experience preferred

Licensure/ Certification: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or other specialty certifications

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Familiarity with multiple patient care areas (e.g., med-surg, ICU, telemetry, pediatrics, ER)

Understanding of age-specific care needs and population-specific interventions
