Come join the team as we grow and expand - the Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine team is now hiring for the next expansion.   This role will support expansion of the Orthopedic Surgery Center for the Perioperative team- (PreOp, PostOp and PACU) #SurgicalServices 

Schedule: 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) 4 (10) hour shifts Monday - Friday with a varied day off.  Shift start time can vary based on the surgery schedule: 0530 to 0900 - The primary shift will start at 0900.  Position will work 10 hour shifts with a 30 minute lunch break. Night call is required: 3 times every 8 weeks from 0000-0730.  Call response time is 30 minutes.

Qualifications

* Education: Nursing Degree (BSN or ADN)
* Experience: 1+ years' experience in Pre-Op, Post-Op/PACU or critical care required  
* Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
* CNOR highly preferred 
* BLS required- ACLS & PALS highly preferred

Responsibilities:

* Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
* Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
* Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
* Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
* Manages care of patients.
* Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities
* Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
* Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Education: Bachelors of Nursing Degree
* Experience: 1+ years' experience in Pre/Post, Med Surg, Post-Op/PACU or critical care highly preferred. 
* Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
* BLS required- ACLS and PALS highly preferred
