Shift: Monday-Friday; 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM + Call

Join Our Surgical Services Team as an OR Nurse. Across our three Quad Cities campuses, Surgical Services provides a high-acuity perioperative environment with 16 operating rooms, two dedicated open-heart suites, and two specialized urology rooms. As an OR nurse, you will care for a broad and diverse case mix including cardiothoracic, vascular, robotics, orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, neurosurgery, urology, podiatry, and cataract procedures, offering continual opportunities to expand your skills and clinical expertise. As an integral member of the interdisciplinary surgical team, you will bring critical thinking, technical expertise, and compassionate care to every phase of the perioperative experience. Nurses practice within an environment grounded in the ANA Code of Ethics, the UnityPoint Health Philosophy of Nursing, and the Professional Nurse Practice Model, fostering professional growth, shared decision-making, and close collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative colleagues.

Responsibilities:

* Delivers high quality care utilizing the nursing process while demonstrating knowledge and clinical skills of the specialty required on assigned unit in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of care.
* Consults appropriate resources within the hospital to provide specialized education.
* Demonstrates knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately.
* Promptly completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patient's care.
* Continues professional development and involvement in professional activities that enhance nursing practice by sharing knowledge through networking and research.

Qualifications:

Education:

* Diploma from an RN program.

License(s)/Certification(s):

* Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state.
* Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.

* Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
* Must possess and maintain ACLS
