We are currently hiring for a Full-Time (1.0 FTE) RN role for Boise Neurosurgery Clinic!
What You Can Expect:
In this role, the RN supports patients through complex surgical journeys. Responsibilities include coordinating surgeries and preoperative care, facilitating provider consults, placing orders, managing lab and imaging results, handling insurance authorizations and medical triage, rooming as needed, as well as providing detailed education to patients and families. The RN also plays a key role in completing nurse reviews, managing home health and presurgical orders, and assisting with FMLA and short-term disability paperwork.
Clinic location will be at Boise Medical Center with the possibility of Meridian location one day per week.
Schedule: 4, 10 hour shifts per week - 0730-1800, Monday - Friday, off on Tuesday's.
Qualifications:
* Education: Nursing Degree
* Experience: 1 years' experience
* Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous experience in surgical specialty is ideal.
Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient's needs.
* Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
* Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
* Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
* Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
* Manages care of patients.
* Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
* Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
* Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor's of Nursing Degree
* RN's with less than 1 year of RN experience at the time of hire into the RN position must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (ACEN
* Accreditation Commission of Education in Nursing, CCNE -Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education)
* Experience: 0 years' experience
* Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
