Unit Overview
In our Meridian Hospital, our Labor & Delivery RNs are skilled in the high tech aspects of birthing as well as high touch. We provide training in therapeutic touch, natural birth support, breathing techniques, water therapy, and supporting women's rituals around birth to help them become the most skillful and supportive nurses possible for every unique birthing experience. We're proud to be a Six-Time Magnet Designated Recipient for Nursing Excellence!
What you can expect from this role
* Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible new hires
* 0.75-0.9 FTE night shift available (7:00p-7:30a) with shift differential pay
* Additional PTO hours for night shift employees
* Certification pay for national certifications (e.g., C-EFM, RNC-OB)
* 10-bed labor unit and 10-bed postpartum unit
* 130 births/month
* 2 dedicated OR suites on floor
* Continued education/certification opportunities
* Adhere to AWHONN standard staffing ratios
Qualifications
* Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
* Experience: 1+ years of RN experience; prefer L&D experience
* Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association or American Red
