Overview: At St. Luke's, our dedicated team of Intensive Care RNs are critical in providing exceptional, patient-centered care. What you can expect from this role * 10 Bed Unit that delivers life saving care for diagnosis including Septic Shock, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure, Multi-Organ Failure, DKA, and AMS * Team-based nursing model (1:2 ratio) * Self-scheduling unit in 6 week blocks * Specialty Classes including: CRRT, ACLS, EKG, ECCO, Rapid Response Training * Continuing education scholarships - including conferences, certification, licensure * Part-time (0.6 FTE) night shift; 2 shifts a week * Certification pay available * Additional PTO for night shift offered Qualifications * Education: Associate degree required, Bachelor of Nursing Degree preferred * Experience: 1+ year RN Experience; highly preferred in ICU * Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association or American Red Cross What's in it for you At St. Luke's, caring for people in the communities we serve is our mission - and this includes our own SLHS team. Responsibilities: The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient's needs. * Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. * Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments. * Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. * Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. * Manages care of patients. * Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. * Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. * Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model. * Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: * Education: Bachelor's of Nursing Degree * RN's with less than 1 year of RN experience at the time of hire into the RN position must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (ACEN * Accreditation Commission of Education in Nursing, CCNE -Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education) * Experience: 0 years' experience * Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
