We are currently hiring for a Full Time (0.9 FTE) RN to support Magic Valley Infusion Center!

What You Can Expect:

The primary job of an Infusion Nurse is to administer various types of IV therapies based on orders from Physicians and other medical professionals. IV Nurses offer comfort to patients as they deliver medications intravenously. Specific duties and responsibilities to consider for an IV Therapy Nurse job description include:

* 
* Assessing patients before IV treatments
* Administering medications, vitamins and other fluids through IV lines, ports and central lines
* Collecting samples and reviewing lab results
* Monitoring patients throughout infusions to identify issues early
* Responding to side effects or reactions to treatment

Schedule: 4, 10 hour shifts per week; between the hours of 0700-1900. Rotate taking call on the weekends which is about 6-7 weekends/year. 

Qualifications:

* Education: Nursing Degree
* Experience: 1 years' experience
* Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Proficient in IV therapy, IV insertion, managing central lines, infusion pumps, and administering meds

Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient's needs.

* Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. 

* Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments. 

* Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. 

* Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. 

* Manages care of patients. 

* Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. 

* Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. 

* Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model. 

* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Education: Bachelor's of Nursing Degree
* RN's with less than 1 year of RN experience at the time of hire into the RN position must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (ACEN
* Accreditation Commission of Education in Nursing, CCNE -Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education)
* Experience: 0 years' experience
* Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
