Overview: $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Call: Every 3rd weekend, 1 night/week, and 1 holiday/year Join Our Endoscopy Unit Team and Deliver Exceptional Patient Care. As a member of the interdisciplinary care team, you will apply your professional knowledge and clinical expertise to provide safe, high-quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Nurses on our Endoscopy Unit practice in alignment with the ANA Code of Ethics, the UnityPoint Health Philosophy of Nursing, and the Professional Nurse Practice Model, collaborating closely with physicians, technicians, and other caregivers. Our Endoscopy Unit specializes in procedures such as colonoscopies, EGDs, bronchoscopies, and ERCPs, using advanced, camera-equipped instruments to visualize and treat conditions within internal organs. In addition to scheduled procedures, our team manages urgent and emergent cases-including food bolus removals-across the Endoscopy suite, OR, and ICU as needed. Nurses are BLS, ACLS, and procedural sedation certified, contributing to comprehensive, patient-centered care 24/7. Responsibilities: * Delivers high quality care utilizing the nursing process while demonstrating knowledge and clinical skills of the specialty required on assigned unit in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of care. * Consults appropriate resources within the hospital to provide specialized education. * Demonstrates knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately. * Promptly completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patient's care. * Continues professional development and involvement in professional activities that enhance nursing practice by sharing knowledge through networking and research. Qualifications: Experience: * Endoscopy/diagnostics experience preffered Education: * Diploma from an RN program. License(s)/Certification(s): * Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state. * Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state. * Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. * Must possess and maintain ACLS *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs.
