Job Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager is a remote position that would preferably be based in the greater Phoenix area. This position is responsible for actively prospecting and generating sales revenue in alignment with targeted business goals for the Grand Canyon Railway. This role focuses on managing and growing relationships with both existing and prospective customers within an assigned sales territory, assigned market segments, ensuring exceptional service, and maximizing productivity. This results-driven professional is a self-starter with a high degree of confidence and accountability, who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment. As part of a motivated sales and marketing team, the Regional Sales Manager consistently fills the business pipeline, closes deals, and exceeds sales targets. Work Location: This is a remote position; however, the applicant must be able to travel within Arizona as needed and preferably would be based in the greater Phoenix area.

Responsibilities:
* Fully understand and support Xanterra's Mission Statement, Cultural Pillars, Community Commitment, and Core Values.
* Establish and maintain strong visibility for Grand Canyon Railway within assigned territory.
* Represent Grand Canyon Railway at industry events, sales missions, membership meetings and trade shows, including evenings and weekends.
* Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate last-minute sales opportunities.
* Strengthen the Grand Canyon Railway profile through consistent industry outreach.
* Attend company sales meetings regularly.
* Accompany and support media representatives as needed.
* Achieve and exceed monthly revenue goals.
* Maintain regular contact with accounts according to tiered production and call standards.
* Solicit new clients to generate future business.
* Conduct outside sales calls and deliver tailored presentations.
* Foster and maintain positive relationships with accounts and customers.
* Identify revenue growth opportunities through customer-focused selling.
* Initiate joint marketing efforts and partnerships with industry partners with shared goals.
* Represent and cross-sell Grand Canyon South Rim properties.
* Distribute qualified leads to appropriate regional territories.
* Conduct customer training both in-person and via Webex.
* Entertain prospective and existing clients to strengthen business relationships.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date account profiles.
* Analyze pre-sell volume and integrity; assist in developing gap strategies.
* Produce weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
* Package monthly production reports for designated accounts.
* Contribute to the development of the annual sales and marketing plan.
* Manage and submit expense reports in a timely manner.
* Stay current on market trends, competitor activity and local events to identify business opportunities.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
* Three to five years of previous sales experience in the hospitality industry
* Requires the ability to travel through out Arizona as required.
* Must have strong computer skills, including the use of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Position requires a valid Arizona driver's license to be able to comply with the Xanterra/GCR Company Vehicle Policy
Preferred Qualifications:
* Contacts within the sales territory a strong plus
* Ability to be based in the greater Phoenix Area.
* Previous experience with Delphi or Opera PMS would be a plus
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:
* Constantly lifting/carry up to 10 lbs.
* Frequently sitting, handling, reaching outward, bending and lifting/carrying up to 20lbs, and pushing/pulling up to 12lbs.
* Occasionally standing, walking, reaching above shoulder, climbing, crawling, squatting, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 100lbs and pushing pull up to 40 lbs.
