Responsibilities:

EchoStar is seeking a Regional Safety Specialist to join our team!

Key Responsibilities:

* Travel approximately 50% to EchoStar sites and conduct field safety audits
* Support various site, regional, and national safety and risk mitigation strategies for IHS, Wireless, Manufacturing, Uplinks, Boost, etc.
* Create, approve, and maintain training programs to enhance worker safety and meet OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, NEC, and other state regulatory requirements 
* Review and investigate accidents, track high-risk employees, and maintain accident reporting records
* Keep track of ongoing training at DISH locations and provide offices with materials as needed
* Manage the Driver's Alert program, and evaluate call reports, responses, and driving behaviors
* Review overall collision and employee driving habits and recommend required corrective action, separation, etc. based on violations
* Interact with DISH locations, visit field offices, perform facility audits, conduct training, address employee safety issues, and work with management to create a safety culture
* Interact with fleet and other departments to maintain vehicle safety and address other issues
* Research, test, recommend, and mandate the use of specific safety equipment and personal protective equipment
* Partner with various departments, groups, and teams to improve safety and reduce risk
* Manage and review driving records and programs
* Participate in local and regional meetings, calls, accident assessments, and other regional initiatives
* Create company-wide, regional, and local emergency action plans

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university
* 2+ years related experience and/or training
* CSP certification a plus

Skills and Qualifications:

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, or government policy
* Able to write reports/correspondence/procedure manuals, present information, and respond to questions from managers/customers/general public 
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
