				Overview:

The Manager is responsible for the business and clinical components of the Behavioral Health Consultants and the Mental Health Walk In Clinic. The Manager provides operational daily oversight for these areas. Management responsibilities for the Behavioral Health Consultants include implementing and managing the clinical program to provide behavioral health support staff to Allen Emergency Department and other departments. This role is responsible for project development and oversight, performance improvement, personnel hiring and management, and operating within the established resource boundaries.  Management of the Mental Health Walk In Clinic entails managing the support staff and clinical staff in providing walk in mental health services to our patients. The manager is responsible for daily operations, quality of care, employee and patient experience.

Responsibilities:

* Provides oversight of departmental and clinical operations of Behavioral Health Consultants and the Mental health Walk In Clinic including: 
* Scheduling, hiring, orientation, training, performance evaluations and discipline, according to personnel policies/procedures 
* Recommends annual goals and objectives
* Monitors expenses/revenue to operate within yearly budget
* Responsible for effectively resolving complex situations, such as complaints and crises as they occur.
* Performs individual leadership development, and employee coaching.
* Supports UPH team members with Behavioral Health educational opportunities and coordination with community resources.
* Performs continuous process improvement to improve the care of the patient and process improvement for business operation
* Monitor employee and patient satisfaction with MH Walk In and BHC services
* Monitoring the Behavioral Health deflection rate to decrease unnecessary admissions and increase inpatient revenue
* Builds relationships within the community and coordinates with community resources to support client/patient care.

Qualifications:

Education:

* Masters degree in either Mental Health Counseling or Social Work.

Ceritification/License:

* Any of the following: LMHC, LISW, LMFT. 
* Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. 

Experience: 

* Preferred: Prior experience in clinical counseling or management.

Knowledge and Skills:

* Ability to direct others and to exercise judgment in problem-solving scenarios. 
* Must possess a broad and varied knowledge base that is continually enhanced and updated through self-directed study and participation in educational opportunities. 
* Must possess knowledge of performance improvement and quality standards. 
* Must possess knowledge of regulatory standards.
