Responsibilities:

Job Title: Human Resources Manager (Hybrid)

Location:  Calgary, AB      

Salary:      $75,000.00 - $80,.000.00 

Job Description:

We are looking for a Human Resources Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our human resources practices and processes for the Western Region. This role will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of the company strategy and objectives. The goal is to promote corporate values and enable business success through human resource management, including job design, recruitment, performance management, training & development, employment cycle changes, talent management, and labour relations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
* Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.  The role will support both unionized and non-unionized workforce.
* Manage the recruitment and selection process, including a team of specialized talent acquisition members.
* Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
* Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
* Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
* Provide training and guidance regarding the Collective Agreement and labour matters.
* Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
* Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
* Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management systems.
* Travel within the region may be required (up to 5 -10%)

Qualifications:

* Post Secondary education in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
* To have 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources.
* Must be proficient in English, both verbal and written. 
* Have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a leadership role.
* Demonstrable experience working in labour relations.
* Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
* Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
* Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
* In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

* HR certification (e.g., CHRP, CHRL).
* Experience in a similar industry.
