				Overview:

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the U.S., is seeking an experienced, inspired and mission-driven Regional Fleet Manager to join our growing team!

Under the guidance of the Senior Operations Manager, the Regional Fleet Manager (RFM) will be responsible for overseeing a Region field team of ~50 remote field professionals consisting of market-based Fleet Managers (FM) and field technicians across ~25 locations.

The RFM will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Midwest Region (current coverage will be the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Western Pennsylvania) and will be accountable for the performance of both internal and external KPIs, safety, turnover, quality of work, technician utilization, inventory management, and other operational items.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong background in field-based operations and maintenance/fleet management. Candidates with a strong and diverse background in automotive and diesel repairs; servicing a large fleet of light, medium and heavy-duty equipment to include gas, electric, and diesel-powered vehicles are preferred. Candidates should also be well versed in process improvement, operational best practices, and financial efficiency.

Salary: $110,000-125,000 plus additional annual performance-based bonus

Responsibilities:

  Operational Expertise - the RFM will focus first on Safety, health, environmental compliance, and quality of work. Ensure that the region is compliant in HazRep submittal and review, environmental/quality of work audits, and safety trainings.

  Managing team to minimize turnover and build a strong segment-culture. Grow and improve performance of team members to build a strong bench. Monitor technician sentiment to ensure turnover is minimal

  Ensure processes are defined and followed within your team. Set goals and hold people accountable.

  Accountable for regional Billability (technician utilization) targets, including meeting minimal billable hour requirements to satisfy P&L targets

  Capacity planning, including making recommendations about when to add both field and corporate roles to satisfy operational and client needs

  Achieving Time to Repair and Throughput targets for all onsite mobile maintenance services.

  Repair Order Management - Ensure incoming Repair Orders are prioritized, completed, and invoiced according to client and business needs.

Qualifications:

  Ten+ years of relevant experience in managing large fleets and maintenance.

  Builder of culture in a team-oriented environment. Strong desire to put team members in a position to be successful and guide them to positive business outcomes.

  Strong communicator with the ability to artfully influence, persuade and drive action.

  A collaborative management style and a strong customer service orientation

  Demonstrated ability to set expectations, hold team members accountable, and use performance management methods when necessary.

  Ability to receive feedback including customer surveys, KPI results, and/executive guidance and implement program changes quickly to improve results.

  Great communication and data skills including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  Proven experience in management for operations, planning, maintenance, and customer service.

  A business focused way of thinking and a strong hands-on, results-driven mentality combined with a high desire to work strategically.

  Responsive, creative, resilient, resourceful

  This is a remote position that may require up to 50% travel. Candidate will preferably reside within the defined Midwest Region
