Overview:
The Recreation Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing Kidtopia and pool personnel including camp counselors, lifeguards, pool attendants, guest service agents, and trainers.
Responsibilities:
* Supervises the activity attendants and kids at La Costa Resort and Spa for its Guests, Members, Associates and owners.
* Ensures that all Kidtopia, Pool, and Athletic Club operations are in accordance with La Costa Resort and Spa policies, along with the CPR certification procedures and standards of conduct.
* Meets regularly with the Director of Recreation to review incidents and current issues, keeps Leadership informed at all times on major incidents
* Aids in creating profitable Kidtopia programs.
* Maintains Safety and first Aid Supplies, and are properly stocked and accounted for.
* Maintains records of certifications and the ability to effectively communicate with the Red Cross to update and follow through with all certifications.
* Schedules monthly trainings and tests to ensure that all Lifeguard and activity attendant staff are ready and prepared for any type of emergency.
Qualifications:
* Must be 18 years of age or older, must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Positive attitude, enthusiastic and enjoys working with people.
* At least one year hospitality or customer service experience, two years of childcare experience required.
* Computer proficiency required.
* Previous supervisory experience preferred.
* Must have San Diego Food Handler's Card before first day of work.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Pay Rate: $24.50/hour
