In celebration of this journey towards progress, marks the official launch of Ellucian ReStart- a new initiative to help bridge the skill gap for women in India returning to the workforce after a pause in their careers. Nearly half of the women in India's workforce end up leaving their jobs for various reasons. Our new six-month program provides resources and support including a dedicated mentor to help women in India transition back into thriving careers in technology. We have Multiple openings available for this particular role. Higher education customers are transforming to modern campuses while leveraging technology and solutions to enable student success. We are currently looking for software technology professionals to join our Ellucian Colleague application development services. You will be collaborating with innovative team members who are passionate about delivering world-class, customer-focused SaaS solutions for higher education. Our ideal candidate comes with robust development skills in Microsoft .Net, C# SQL Server and will play an integral role in development of new features/ enhancements working within agile environment. Role Description * Independently handle workstreams within an overall project transparently and productively, applying standard practices. * Development, testing and deployment of our Ellucian Colleague application solutions through planned engagements with our higher education customers. * Collaborate with consulting teams and peers to ensure customer and Ellucian project expectations are exceeded. * Work with a dynamic team of developers and other peers to build and test the application according to the prepared specifications. * Ability to deconstruct complex issues to identify root cause issues. * Stay current with Ellucian applications. Have an aptitude to learn new technologies quickly. Where you will make an impact * 5+ years of experience in technical design, development, and testing of enterprise software applications. * Analyse and review business, functional and technical requirements, develop code according to specifications and standards. * Plan and conduct code reviews, basic unit, integration testing, performance testing. * Engage in continuous learning and adoption of new concepts, technology and functionality. * Positions at this level are responsible for planning, processing, and executing technical assignments. * Make independent decisions and gets it reviewed before taking action within established practices and procedures. * Configuring Ellucian Colleague application in alignment with client needs and provide training in the use and upkeep of applications and technologies. * Able to adapt to Agile Scrum Software Development methodologies with a cross-functional team approach. * Work independently with little direction to achieve goals. Ability to work with a remote team leveraging available tools. * Exhibits a strong sense of ownership for individual work assignments. What you will bring * Experience in Microsoft .Net, C# and SQL Server technologies, developing and implementing enterprise scale solutions. * Knowledge of Javascript frameworks (Knockout JS) and RESTful APIs development. * Knowledge of SDLC, web development best practices. * Strong communication and analytical skills with demonstrable presentation and professional communication skills (written and verbal). * Brings an established, effective method for tracking and completing tasks on time. * Prefers a collaborative work environment over working solo, with a bias towards sharing credit for achievement over individual recognition. * Experience in working with distributed and cross-cultural teams. * Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
